Meet the Dentists

Dr. Brian O’Sullivan, D.M.D

Dr. Brian O’Sullivan is a native of Garden City, NY. He graduated with honors from Cornell University in 1975. He was then awarded a Naval Scholarship and attended Fairleigh Dickson Dental School where he also graduated with honors in 1979. Dr. O’Sullivan was then selected for a general practice residency at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, CA. In 1983 Dr. O’Sullivan completed his prosthodontic residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital. He remained on active duty with the Navy for 9 years.

Dr. O’Sullivan retired from the Naval Reserve Forces with 25 years of service. He has been in private practice in Spring Hill for 22 years and continues to practice all aspects of dentistry with an emphasis on cosmetic and prosthodontic dentistry. Dr. O’Sullivan is married to Barbara O’Sullivan, who is employed as an elementary school teacher in Hernando County. They have two children, Jennifer and Sean. Dr. O’Sullivan enjoys outdoor pursuits such as sailing, fishing, and hunting. He also has a passion for mentoring young adults. He is currently a BLUE AND GOLD officer with the United States Naval Academy.

Dr. James DeLuca, D.M.D

A native Manchester, NH Dr. DeLuca graduated with honors from Saint Anselm College in 1990 with a degree in Natural Sciences. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA in 1994 where he was awarded the Albert Yurkstas Award from Excellence in Dentures and Removable Partial Dentures. Upon graduation, he was commissioned a Lieutenant in the United States Navy where he completed his General Practice Residence at Bethesda Naval Hospital. Follow-on orders sent him to the USS Denver in San Diego, CA where he served two years as the senior dental officer and an additional year treating the US Navy Seals.

After an inter-service transfer he was assigned to the United States Coast Guard Air Station in St. Petersburg, FL from 1991-2001. He currently serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserves. When not at the office, Jim spends time with his wife Mandy and their beautiful daughters Audrey & Celia. Jim also serves on the Board of Directors at the Spring Hill YMCA. To keep physically fit, Jim is often found at the pool of the YMCA or putting some earlier morning miles under his feet and pedals as he trains for this seasons Triathlons.
